Hi. It has been a while. My son just added some more columns to the website (what would I do without him?????) Hope all is well in your world. I have a new email if you’d like to contact me. God bless.

[Update] December 6, 2012

Hi. I haven’t put anything new on my website in a long time. So, for now, I have added some-new-to-my-website columns (The Press Republican
has already run them, but they haven’t been posted here). And, I have also added something new to the book section. My son, Jack, and I have written a children’s book that we’ve self-published for Amazon Kindle. Working with my son was an amazing and frustrating process. I love the
way he draws and makes his scenes and characters come alive with quirky and real emotion. I am certain that I drove him nuts during this
process; he certainly tested my patience!!! But, sharing this project with him has been one of the best experiences of my life. I hope you will take
a look at it.

Hi, my name is Mary White. I've worked with kids for as long as I can remember...even when I was little, I loved helping my mother with her
foster babies. As

an adult, I really had no marketable talent other than working with kids, being around kids....so that's what I did...first as a caseworker for teenagers, then as a caseworker for families, then as a tutor in migrant kids' homes, then as a drug/alcohol prevention counselor in the schools. And throughout all that, I had my own kids, my very own kids with my very own husband. Over time, I realized that I had stories to tell, lessons to share...not ones that I had created, but ones that I

had absorbed from all the creatures surrounding me. So, I began to write and write and write. Suddenly, I couldn't shut up; stories and feelinigs came pouring

out. And, I knew that, while kids remained my passion, I had to find a way to share this view that I am allowed each and every day. I'd like to pretend that my words come from some wise place inside me, but very often I didn't even know that I had these thoughts until I put pen to paper. Sometimes I don't even remember writing what I have written. Very often, I read my words as if some stranger had composed them. So, if you
find anything of value in what I have to say, know that it probably has little to do with me.
